Partnered with the Centre for Arts Education, the 14th Factory goes far beyond the traditional museum education paradigm. With an energetic, flexible program, young people can interact with the project in a direct way. Performing in the space, responding with their own works for display, discussion as part of youth led panels and perhaps a few things the kids will suggest to us. We wish to foster an all embracing and open approach to arts and education.
The 14th Factory Talks and Events Program
This program offers visitors a diverse selection of ways to experience, discuss and get involved in the project, regardless of knowledge, experience or age, guided by our dedicated in-house education team. Events ranging from regular talks, lectures, discussion panels and symposium to 24-hour experimental marathon events.
These weekly themed programs involve a cross disciplinary schedule and speakers from a diverse range of experience, emphasizing the benefits of cross pollination between disciplines that the exhibition represents.
The 14th Factory Education Program
This progam aims to make art accessible to the whole community, especially the underprivileged youth sector, and consists of an extensive range of educational activities, including forums, tours, discussions, workshops and interactive activities within the exhibition space. Strategic partnerships with experienced arts and education organisations also brings about tailor made interactions and events for each audience.
The 14th Factory Education Centre
The 14th Factory offers a dynamic range of offerings for adults and youth, providing personal, meaningful encounters with the exhibition. It also serves as a learning laboratory and forum for inquiry, exploration, and discourse beyond art, housed in a bright, new, 20,000 square foot dedicated space.
